October 21, 2010 @ The FDIM Fashion Institute

Room to Read hosted an event to raise the awareness of its efforts to improve literacy of children in developing areas.  Sumi's Oven participated in this great cause to cater at their 10 year anniversary event. 

Approximately 150 guests attended the event held at Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising overlooking the San Diego Ball Park. They have raised 180K so far which will help children in the developing world gain the lifelong gift of education.

Only selective local restaurants were chosen to represent one of three of our regions that they operate in, South east Asia, India and South Africa along with local wineries and breweries.
